Stories from our lives - a collection by Vietnamese women

Towards the end of 2011 Petersham TAFE Outreach published Stories from Our Lives, an anthology of life stories written by a group of Vietnamese women attending a community engagement/language class in Marrickville in Sydney's inner west. The book was printed and bound by Business Administration students at Petersham College. The students and their teacher Gwyn Denton worked tirelessly writing and editing their stories during 2011.
In the words of former Outreach community teacher Ros Diffey 'their couage, resilence and determination to make a new life in Australia shines through their stories'. These are brave women and we are fortunate to have them as part of our community.
It is hoped that we may partner with a local community organisation and get the stories translated into Vietnamese and then distribute the bilingual edition throughout Australian communities.
